Selling Yourself . . . to Everyone Around You!

As you know, there are only 58 days until Christmas - December 25th - and counting. I mentioned in a previous entry that I was going to do a local arts & crafts festival the weekend of October 13 & 14 here in St. Louis. That has happened and all was well. It was my first time to put my booth together, gather inventory, ensure you have needed supplies - even the gift boxes that made the personalized Christmas ornaments a "ready" gift.

As with any business endeavor that you tackle, there are always the required items on your checklist:

1. Have enough change for your customers.
2. What are the customers going to want to purchase from you? What is their "demand" when they stop by your booth?
3. Having enough inventory to supply your customers.
4. Ensuring that the finished, customized product is exactly what they were expecting and fulfilling your customer's expectations!
5. Presenting your items in a positive and professional manner.

As we know from our day-to-day lives, we are all salespeople. We have to continually "sell ourselves" to our co-workers, our families, our partner in life, our bosses, everyone. No matter what your position in life, you will be required to "sell" yourself to those around you and those who love you too.

So, as we prepare for our holidays ahead in the next few months, remember that we do enjoy putting our best foot forward and always looking our best in front of friends, co-workers, family, and loved ones. You will be proud of yourself and others will also be proud of you . . . with only 58 days left until Christmas morning!
